FREE WORKSHOP Week 7: Lack of Teamwork

Hey all,

How did everyone go last week with Lack of Periodic Check Points?

This week we’re talking about the Lack of Teamwork and importance of unity of all involved in successfully completing the project. From you the foremen, right through to the contractors, labourers, suppliers etc.

As i’m sure all you must know, in respects to the clear line of division between foremen (management) and contractors, labourers, suppliers (workforce), where this has been something that has been around for many decades.

And whilst projects rely heavily on the leadership skills of the foremen in driving the project forwards, it’s nothing without the contractors or workforce, to action it. And so needs all players to work together in the team under one captain (Foremen) in leading all to a successful project.

But for this to work, you as foremen and leader for the project, must bring all contractors, labourers, suppliers, clients etc., together for a common goal, in successfully completing the project within time and cost.

And the old mentality of foremen versus contractors must stop as its outdated and must be left behind for new thoughts and ways in uniting together to develop or else you will soon find the project riddled with difficulties and stagnated as each person pulls in their own directions, resulting in an unsuccessful project.

Could you imagine not only are you losing tens, hundreds or even millions of dollars not only in poorly design programming, defect ridden project, over priced contractors but also over poor teamwork.

So as a Productive Foremen, its important that you lead and unite the various teams together, in ensuring everyone succeeds, as you come together in completing the project, within time and costs.

Share your experiences and lets work towards a greater understanding and knowledge-base in ensuring we all increase our success rate of projects, together.

Till next week,

Nelio
